His Role

Music is woven into every psilocybin ceremony at La Mezquita, and Steve is the one shaping it in real time. Rather than playing a fixed set, he listens to the energy in the room and adapts — following where the group is, and helping guide people through the harder passages of the experience.

Steve also takes an active facilitation role during San Pedro walks, where his years of experience in ceremonial settings come through in a steady, attentive presence. For many guests, the music becomes one of the things they remember most clearly afterwards.
