> La Mezquita is a psychedelic retreat centre and Cannabis Social Club (CSC) in El Campello, Alicante, Spain, founded in 2019. It is one of Spain's first dedicated psychedelic retreat centres, working with psilocybin, San Pedro, and ayahuasca in a safe, screened, and professionally supported environment.

## What we do

- Multi-day psychedelic retreats (psilocybin, San Pedro/huachuma, ayahuasca) for groups of roughly 6–8 participants, including introduction retreats for first-timers, weekend retreats, and single-ceremony day experiences.
- A facilitator training programme for people who want to work professionally in this field.
- A private, non-profit Cannabis Social Club (CSC) association at the El Campello location — membership is by invitation and requires proof of prior cannabis use, in line with the standard Spanish CSC model. It is members-only: it does not sell, supply, or advertise to the public, and is not a walk-in facility.
- A CBD shop at the same location (Calle Sorolla 14), selling legal CBD products — CBD oils, flower, and cosmetics — openly to the public. CBD is legal in Spain and is entirely separate from the members-only cannabis social club.
- Screening (led by a licensed psychologist), preparation, ceremony facilitation, and post-retreat integration support are treated as a single continuous process, not separate add-ons.

## Legal framework

In Spain, personal consumption of all substances is decriminalised and possession for personal use is not a criminal offence. La Mezquita operates within this legal framework: the CSC is a private membership association, and retreats are conducted with informed consent, professional screening, and harm-reduction practices. La Mezquita is not affiliated with, and has no connection to, any unlicensed or illegal drug-trafficking operation reported in the Alicante region.

## Philosophy

La Mezquita is organised around four pillars: spiritual well-being as a core (not peripheral) dimension of health; ancient/traditional plant-medicine knowledge from cultures worldwide; modern scientific research supporting the safety and efficacy of psychedelic-assisted work (e.g. Griffiths et al. 2006, Johns Hopkins; Carhart-Harris, Imperial College London); and community — returning guests are treated as part of an ongoing family, not one-off customers.
